KILLEEN (March 29, 2009)—John Dennis Miller, 38, of Harker Heights and Mark Vincent Kight, 27, of Killeen died early Sunday morning when the car in which they were riding left the road and rolled over in a field.

The two men were ejected from the 1999 Ford Mustang.

A 20-year-old woman, whom officers found lying next to the vehicle, was flown to Scott & White Hospital in Temple where she was in good condition Sunday afternoon, police said.

Her name was not released.

The accident happened at around 3:15 a.m. Sunday in the 3800 block of Elms Road in Killeen when the car, which police said was traveling at a high rate of speed, shot off the road after the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to negotiate a curve.

The vehicle rolled and came to rest in a field.

The accident is under investigation, police said.

Mark was one of my best friends. We met on FFXI We had a rough time at first. We couldn't really stand each other. But as time progressed he became the big brother I never had. We talked alot on the phone for awhile after him and his wife split. And after me and my boyfriend split. He was there when i needed to cry and talk to someone. He was my rock and I could call him whenever I needed. I will never forget the last conversation we had the Friday before he went camping. I had just gotten out of detenention and he told me to stop wasting my teenage years and be a good girl i have 3 more years til im 18 and He wanted me to be alive for them. He said sis i love you stop while your ahead. Last thing i said was i promised i would. But i have broken my promise i am not doin 6 month and i feel i have let him down. Mark you will be missed and I love you with all my heart bro!
