WACO (April 1, 2009)--Waco firefighters were at the scene of a natural gas line break Wednesday afternoon at 3401 Franklin Avenue.
A construction crew working on a parking lot expansion evidently cut an underground gas line and that resulted in the leak.
An Atmos Energy repair crew was en route to cut off the gas flow.
There is no valve nearby so workers will have to route around the line break.
Firefighters told News 10 the leak is small and a breeze is dissipating the gas so it does not accumulate.
