BRYAN (April 3, 2009)--A Bryan man has been charged with supplying alcohol to three minors who were killed in a wreck near Mumford.

Calvin Winters, 22, was arrested Wednesday.

He was released after posting bonds totaling $12,000.

Department of Public Safety investigators say Winters, who was celebrating his 21st birthday, was riding in a pickup driven by Harrison Owens, 20, with passengers Steven Glenn, 20, and Hannah Foster, 16, on Oct. 26, 2007.

The pickup overturned on a private road near FM 50 killing Glenn immediately.

Owens and Foster died later at a hospital.

Through a receipt found in Winters' wallet, authorities determined he had purchased three kegs of beer for his birthday party held earlier in the evening.

They also found all three of the accident victims had been at the party.

A post-mortem blood test revealed the three had blood alcohol levels over the legal limit of .08.

Winters also was determined to be legally intoxicated at the time, authorities said.
