(October 12, 2006)--A man sought in the stabbing death of an East Texas woman and the abduction of her 19-year-old daughter has been captured in Houston, according to Sharlie Davis, the spokeswoman for the Kaufman County Sheriff's Department.

She says she has no details yet on the circumstances of the overnight capture of 34-year-old Daniel Joseph Griffin.

But she says he'll be returned to Kaufman County for questioning in the Monday stabbing death of Sheri Lynn Duggan,

Davis says Duggan's 19-year-old daughter and a friend of Griffin's, Christina Harrison, was released with Griffin's arrest around midnight and has been returned to her family.

Davis says investigators now believe Harrison was the victim of an abduction and did not accompany Griffin willingly.
