(October 17, 2006)--If you want to drive the most fuel efficient cars you'll most likely be heading to a Honda or a Toyota dealer.
Those companies dominate the federal government's list for the 2007 model year.
The Toyota Prius hybrid is tops, getting 60 miles per gallon in the city and 51 on the highway. Right behind is the Honda Civic Hybrid.
It gets 51 on the highway and 49 in the city.
Because of some ties, the top-ten fuel economy list has a dozen vehicles this time.
Honda and Toyota make seven of them.
Ford and its Mercury division have three vehicles on the list, including the most fuel-efficient SUV. Kia and Hyundai have one car apiece.
