DENVER (May 5, 2009)--A Texas man has pleaded guilty to threatening President Barack Obama and the Mall of America in Minneapolis.
Timothy Ryan Gutierrez, 21, pleaded guilty to a charge of making threats by e-mail.
Prosecutors dropped a charge of threatening to use an explosive in exchange for his plea.
Gutierrez, who’s from Andrews, was accused of sending the e-mails from his brother's Cortez, Colo. home to the FBI a week before Mr. Obama's inauguration.
Gutierrez claimed the e-mails were a prank.
Gutierrez could face up to 18 months in prison at his July 31 sentencing, his attorney said.
Gutierrez has been in custody since surrendering to authorities on Jan. 29.

This reminds me of the signs at airports saying that they do not take threats lightly, and do not consider them jokes. I wouldn't think the FBI would take a threat lightly either. Dumb to make a threat, even dumber to send it to the FBI.
Now here is a guy with an IQ of maybe 60. Dumber than dumb. A prank, oh, please. Be more original than that
What an idiot. Not only sending threatening emails but sending them to the FBI. L-O-S-E-R. Just hopeless.
