WACO (May 6, 2009)--Waco fire investigators are looking into three separate fires overnight as possible arsons.

The first happened at around 11 p.m. Tuesday at 4425 West Waco Drive.

Police who responded to a burglar alarm at Schroeder's Auto/Video discovered that someone had broken into the building, and had also set a fire in the vacant building next door.

Police notified the fire department.

Fire investigators were called in.

Another burglar alarm went off at Games N Things at 1411 North Valley Mills just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

When police got there, they found someone had broken into the vacant buildings on either side of the business to try to get into the store.

The burglars were not successful, and set a fire in one of the vacant buildings there.

They also broke a water line.

A third fire at a vacant home at 1004 N. 15th Street was called in at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Fire investigators say the utilities to the vacant home had been cut off.

That fire is also being investigated as arson.

Fire Marshal Jerry Hawk said Wednesday he doesn’t know whether the three fires are connected.
