Texas Woman Pleads Guilty In Death Of Elderly Mother
A Texas woman has pleaded guilty to charges in the death of her elderly bedridden mother.

TYLER (May 7, 2009)--A Texas woman who pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide has received a six-month sentence after admitting to causing the death of her elderly bedridden mother.
Linda Cameron, 68, of Flint, admitted to failing to provide adequate medical attention, food, water and hygiene for Sybil Cameron who died in her care.
She into a plea agreement and will serve the sentence in a state jail facility.
Assistant Smith County District Attorney Joe Murphy said Cameron was the sole caretaker and only relative.
She lived with her mother and did not seek help.
Cameron's mother became emaciated, would not eat and was lying in her own feces.
She died Oct. 22, 2007 at a hospital after her daughter finally called 911.

6 months is just a slap on the hand! I think Martha Stewart had 6 months for lying under oath. Murder should carry a stiffer sentence than lying. If you only have to serve 6 months for killing a parent, then patricide and matricide would be much more common. Our laws are so crazy.
How can anyone do that to their own mother? That is really sorry!Hope she gets the death penalty!
