Austin Officer-Involved Shooting Sparks Rock, Bottle Throwing
Rocks and bottles were thrown at officers after a police shooting that left one man dead and another injured Monday in Austin.

AUSTIN, Texas (May 11, 2009)--No Austin officers were hurt when some people threw rocks and bottles after a police shooting left one man dead and another hurt Monday.
Sgt. Richard Stresing said an officer was checking a robbery report early Monday when he saw three people asleep in a car parked at the Walnut Creek Apartments.
Police Chief Art Acevedo said an officer shot and killed an 18-year-old man who awoke and reached for a weapon stuck in his pants.
Acevedo said another man was wounded and was in stable condition at Brackenridge Hospital.
The other occupant was detained.
Police in riot gear were on hand later when a crowd of about 100 people gathered.
Some police officers were armed with shotguns.
The officer involved in the shooting was removed from patrol, pending a review.

Nothing to understand, there is law and there is people that break the law... I don't care if he was black, white, hispanic, you pull a gun or any weapon on a police officer, you get shot... I know one thing, if you learn to obey law officers on the job, you will get a lot less problems... Even if you are guilty of something, best just go to jail and fight it from there... But any attack on an officer is a felony and/or death in defense of the officer...
Oh dear. This poor misunderstood child never stood a chance. That officer be crazy thinking he could shoot him and get away with it. I bet he is white. There should only be black cops in black neighborhoods cause the whites just dont understand anything bout us.
Michelle: put a band aid on your bleeding heart, already. Put on a badge and go save the world yourself if you judge circumstances so much better. Don't forget to read up first on how many thugs are wearing body armor nowadays. Its becoming almost as common as AK-47s in a Middle Eastern household.
