(October 31, 2006)--A Baylor University sorority has paid nearly $4,000 to Waco's Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum.
Kappa Kappa Gamma made the payment to repair damages caused to a men's rest room during a dance.
None of the memorabilia from the state's storied law enforcement agency was damaged during the dance on Sept. 15.
The items were locked up during the event.
The sorority chapter's adviser at Baylor, Tommye Lou Davis, says the group paid for the damage as soon as museum officials notified the sorority.
Museum director Byron Johnson says Baylor officials are now investigating whether drinking was involved.
The school's policy doesn't allow drinking at sorority and fraternity events.
Johnson says museum officials are reconsidering whether to continue to rent the facility to fraternity and sorority groups.
