(November 6, 2006)--There evidently are some reptile deaths in the fire at a Florida tourist attraction.

A zookeeper tells the fire department there were snakes, baby alligators and two crocodiles in or near the gift shop at Gatorland in Orlando.

They're believed to have died in the blaze, which one official says did substantial damage to the store and the reception area.

No people were hurt.

Firefighters are still tackling hot spots from the fire, which broke out before dawn.

The cause will have to be investigated, but authorities believe it started around the shop.

The facade of the building is seriously damaged.

A huge mock alligator that greeted visitors is ruined.

Gatorland has been around since 1949, attracting around 400,000 visitors each year.
