BURLESON COUNTY (May 27, 2009)--A driver who investigators say was attempting to pass two cars in a no-passing zone lost control of his vehicle early Wednesday, which crashed, killing a passenger.

Tyler Lee Bishop, 21, of Caldwell, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Farm-to-Market Road 3058, about just south of Burleson County Road 2220.

Bishop was pronounced dead by Burleson County Justice of the Peace Bill Orsak.

Holder Leif Bishop was driving north when he pulled out to pass two others vehicles while in a no passing zone and then spotted an oncoming southbound vehicle.

As he attempted to avoid a collision, investigators said he lost control of his car, which veered into a roadside ditch, overturned and struck a tree.
