WACO (May 27, 2009)--A fisherman who was trying to clear weeds from the propeller of his boat was injured when he fell into the boat's motor Wednesday afternoon.
It happened just after 2 p.m. Wednesday at a boat ramp off Flat Rock Road.
Officials told news 10 the man, who appeared to be in his mid-60's had pulled up to the ramp and lifted his outboard motor out of the water to clear the propeller of weeds.
The man evidently slipped and fell into the motor, suffering a chest injury.
The injured man used a cell phone to call friends for help.
They called 911.
He was taken to a local hospital.

Was there alcohol involved. I dont know what it is with people and beer at the lake. And usually with there kids. Alcohol, open water, and motors with blade like things oh yea thats a great combination.
I think things like this ARE news, as warnings to be careful, especially at the lake. There have been drownings in the news a lot lately. You can also learn things like El Diablo has never fallen off a bike. What he doesn't tell you is that his bike is pink, has fringe hand grips, and he has never taken his training wheels off either :)
El Diablo you are the idiot. Now,if he died, that would be news. What they reported is not news.
