(June 7, 2009) - A 61-year-old Axtell man is dead following an evening motorcycle wreck. The Department of Public Safety says Gary Moore from the Axtell area died just after 6 p.m. Saturday on Highway 84 just past the split with Highway 31.
DPS says Moore was traveling over the speed limit on his 2001 Harley Davidson when he struck a Ford pick-up and trailer turning onto a private drive. Justice of the Peace Belinda Summers pronounced Moore dead at the scene.
DPS says Moore was not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the Ford pick-up was not injured.

I really think before you broadcast a story you should know the facts. The location that you showed on t.v. and wrote about in the article is incorrect. This goes to show don't always believe what you see on the news.

Sorry for this death. 'If' the driver of the pick-up pulling the trailer would have signaled a correct distance to let Gary know, then this would not have happenned. Prayers to his Family and Friends.

Wow, I grew up two houses down from Gary. He had been in an accident in the late 70's early 80's on highway 84 in Bellmead... He survived that and lived a great life after that. I am so sad to hear that he has passed. :(
