SULPHUR SPRINGS (June 26, 2009)—Authorities Friday in North Texas shot and killed a woman for whom they were looking after her husband was shot.

Trooper Jean Dark, a spokeswoman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, says officers found Kimberly McLarry, 47, Friday at her home near the town of Yantis.

McLarry approached officers in the home's driveway with a revolver and was shot, the DPS said.

Dark says she did not know the age or condition of the man who was shot earlier Friday.

He was transported by helicopter to a hospital.

She says the man was shot at a repair shop and residence near Sulphur Springs, about 80 miles east of Dallas.
