COPPERAS COVE (June 27, 2009) - A grand jury will soon decide if the shooting death of a Copperas Cove man was an accident or a homicide.

Initially, police had called the death of 31-year-old Arthur Clarke Bielawski their first homicide of the year, but no suspects have been named in the case.

Police said they were waiting for a final autopsy report.

Bielawski was found lying in a parking lot with a gun-shot wound to the chest May 15th.

It was near the intersection of Hackberry and North First Street in Copperas Cove.

Police said he had just left a nearby bachelor party.

The initial 9-1-1 came in as an accidental discharge of a firearm, but a preliminary autopsy report lists his death as a homicide

The Coryell County Grand Jury will decide if there is enough police evidence to prosecute someone in connection with Bielawski's death.

If he did not have a gun close to him, when the found his body, then it sounds like a homicide.

If the Medical Examiner/Dallas, did the autopsy, I can understand why there are questions! My son, Joshua, was suppose to have hung himself, but the ME said there was NO evidence of strangulation!!!!! www.americaiswatching.org (Joshua Robinson)
