Killeen Woman Arrested After Baby Left In Parked Car
A 20-year-old Killeen woman was in custody Monday after her 11-month-old baby was left locked inside a parked car in a supermarket parking lot.

KILLEEN (June 29, 2009)—A 20-year-old Killeen woman was in custody Monday after her 11-month-old baby was left locked inside a car in a supermarket parking lot.
A customer saw the baby just after 5 p.m. Saturday and told store employees, who called 911.
Killeen firefighters broke into the car in order to get the boy out.
The infant was checked out and was none the worse for the experience.
The area was in the grip of 100-degree plus temperatures Saturday.
Police arrested his mother, Sarah Traylor.
She was charged with child abandonment and remained in custody Monday in lieu of $50,000 bond.

There is NO EXCUSE for leaving your child locked inside a parked vehicle ... what is with any mother who would do this ... I know she was only inside for one or two items ... NO EXCUSE!!! No mother who can truly say she is a "good" mother would leave her child inside a parked vehicle in the heat of the day!! The child should be taken away from her permanently lest the child at some time ends up dead!!

This isn't about race. I'm white and when I was little my grandmother left me in the car once and I told my mom and she was never allowed to take me anywhere after that. So many things can go wrong, why would you risk your baby's life because you're lazy. If you don't want to hassle with your kid, don't have any. The baby could've died or been kidnapped.
