No Public Memorial Planned At Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch
Apparently there will not be a public memorial planned for Michael Jackson at the late pop star’s Neverland Ranch this week, if at all.

LOS ANGELES (July 1, 20090--No public memorial is planned for Michael Jackson at the late performer’s Neverland Ranch, a person familiar with the situation said Wednesday.

Santa Barbara officials discussed the possibility a memorial or public viewing could occur Thursday, but the person, who is not authorized to speak for the family and requested anonymity, said nothing is planned for Neverland at least through Friday.

The source said it appears more likely a funeral and burial will take place in Los Angeles.

The family has the final say.

A Jackson family spokesman said a public memorial for Michael Jackson is in the works, but it won't be held at the late pop star's Neverland Ranch, but no further details were provided in the statement issued Wednesday by family spokesman Ken Sunshine.

The public relations firm Sunshine, Sachs & Associates has been retained by the family and says it will announce those plans shortly.

The person familiar with the situation said billionaire Thomas Barrack, who owns Neverland in a joint venture with Jackson, sought an exemption to bury the singer at the ranch, but the person said it's a complicated process and it couldn't be done for a burial this week.

A flurry of activity behind the ranch's wrought-iron gates fed speculation that either a funeral service or a memorial of some sort was being prepared for Jackson whose family members met with authorities Tuesday about funeral services.

The California Highway Patrol said "details are still pending," but they would need to be consulted if Jackson's body is moved from Los Angeles to Neverland.

Meanwhile Wednesday, Jackson’s will was filed in a Los Angeles court.

The will, dated July 7, 2002, says Jackson chose not to provide for his former wife Debbie Rowe.

The will gives the entire estate to the Michael Jackson Family Trust.

The documents estimated his estate at that time at more than $500 million.

Your statement shows that you have no class pat h. There are plenty of people who do not think that Mike Jackson was an idiot. He was one of the greatest entertainers ever. If you were not a fan of his, just say you don't like him. No need to call him an idiot. Besides that, the media is choosing to draw this out, not the family. Just listen to a few of MJ's songs, there has bound to be one that catches your ear.

Bury the idiot already this has been drawn out too darn long. Getting really tired of all the news coverage still going on about MJ. Nothing on Farrah Faucett or Ed McMahon and they both had more class in their pinkies than MJ ever had in his whole body. GET IT OVER ALREADY
