HARLINGEN (July 4, 2009)--A federal judge has ordered an illegal immigrant at a South Texas facility to be force fed after the man went on a hunger strike that started last month.

U.S. District Judge Hilda Tagle on Wednesday ordered Kenson Lima, 26, to be given medical care and fed intravenously.

Lima, a Haitian immigrant being held at the Port Isabel Detention Center, collapsed in a shower a few days after starting a hunger strike June 23, according to court records.

Immigration officials filed a federal lawsuit to force feed him after he was taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.

Lima is fighting his deportation case.

A hearing is scheduled Monday.

We should 'not' feed him anything, then just before he dies, call INS and deport him back across the border!!! STUPID/FOOLISH TO FORCE-FEED!!!!!

Why are we even having a deportation case if he is illegal send him home. If he doesn't like his home country he can go back and fix it. We spend to much on those who come here illegally instead of on those who deserve it.
