WACO (July 8, 2009)—A rush hour accident at a busy Waco intersection sent two people to the hospital Wednesday evening.

It happened in the northbound lanes of Bagby Avenue in front of the Central Faith Child Development Center.

Witnesses say the driver of a Chevrolet Cavalier was attempting to turn into the center lane when a Toyota Rav4 struck the car.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to a Waco hospital for treatment of what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Yes; the Statement still applys that I made on the other incorrect News Media Report. When lives depend on time, the person reporting/calling better have the location 'absolutely' correct(same as the News person reporting it)!!!!!

To Another Someone Location: Here; your points are exactly as I have said. And their reporters have exactly the problem I've stated. So if an accident happens or a fire, then how are people with cell phones going to report it if they have already been fed the 'incorrect' information(from the news media) to start with??? And if the locations(streets, roads, highways are 'not' correctly identified), then people(especially the news reporters) better know exactly where they are at when they call/report an accident, fire, death, etc. Your/my life may depend 'totally' on it!! And the younger generation has 'no' idea what you and I are talking/writting about!!! And people better learn how to 'correctly' read a map. Starting out with the Downtown area that is basically square/parallel with the Brazos River. Thanks.

To Someone/Near-Here: You've posted twice on different stories about the directions being given for where accidents occurred. The truth is, Waco is an extremely confusing city when it comes to North and South. There IS a North and South Valley Mills which oddly enough intersects North and South I-35 perpendicularly. I agree...not possible, but that is how the streets are labeled. And neither runs truly North and South through the city of Waco. I believe KWTX is doing their best to reference the streets based on the way they are labeled as opposed to their actual geographical positions. Loop 340 is another example...it only intersects Hwy 6 in one location in Waco ("south-east" side of town), but Hwy 6 runs concurrently with Loop 340 through the Robinson & Richland Mall areas. Yes, it's difficult to always pinpoint locations in Waco based on compass directions, but I think KWTX is doing the best they can with what they have to work with.
