(December 29, 2006)--Passengers at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport were asked to move away from large windows in the terminals Friday when a tornado warning was issued.
The warning was for parts of Tarrant County.
However, no tornado struck DFW.
Airport spokesman Ken Capps says passengers were asked to stand in stairwells or in terminal areas.
Delays and cancellations are expected as a result of a series of storms extending from Central to North Texas.
The storms are part of a winter weather system that forecasters say could dump up to 10 inches of snow and up to 5 inches of rain in other parts of the state.
