AUSTIN (July 17, 2009)—Texas State Rep. Kino Flores, D-Palmview, has been indicted on record tampering and perjury counts, prosecutors said Friday.

Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg announced Friday that a grand jury returned six indictments against the Lower Rio Grande Valley lawmaker.

Flores, 50, is charged with 16 counts of tampering with a government record and three counts of perjury.

The indictment accuses lawmaker of not listing income sources, gifts received, property holdings and real estate sales in a required personal financial statement.
