(January 6, 2007)--Former students and colleagues mourning the death of an English teacher are struggling with allegations that the educator was involved in sexual misconduct with a teenager.
Tommy Ford taught at Clark High School in San Antonio for 28 years.
His death this week was ruled a suicide.
School officials had placed Ford on administrative leave on Dec. 14 after an allegation that he engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with a 17-year-old male student on campus.
Ford resigned a week later.
His body was found 10 days later with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
School district officials said Friday that they collected evidence supporting the allegation against Ford.
They plan to turn over the information to the district attorney's office in case other students come forward with similar allegations.
