KILLEEN (July 18, 2009) - Killeen police were called to a home in the southwestern part of the city at about 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning where someone claimed they heard shots fire in a home.

Killeen police told News 10, when a man was discovered inside the home, the suspect ran away to another house in the 1800 block of Lea Anne Drive.

A SWAT team was later called to the scene to handle the situation since officers believed the suspected to be armed.

Other people inside the suspect's home came out safely and without incident.

Police say at about 11:25 a.m the SWAT team entered the house and arrested the suspect without incident.

Police have not released the name of the suspect at this time.

Good point Ras. Gord, even though it was cooler, Im sure the chief didn't shut down the city and call all men on deck for one idiot. I'm not a lawman, but I think that was bad judgement by Sheriff Lynch having about 20 deputies in that China Spring incident.
