WACO (July 20, 2009)-Waco’s Cameron Park Zoo will unveil a new exhibit in its freshwater aquarium Monday.
The exhibit features a touch-screen kiosk, designed to teach Zoo patrons about water conservation, the importance of clean water and the animals that are endangered or hurt by pollution in our rivers and streams, Cameron Park Zoo officials said.
The project was a joint undertaking between the Zoo and Cargill Meat Solutions in Waco.
"The goals of the Cargill Corporation and the…Cameron Park Zoo dovetailed to develop this great educational visitor activity," said Cameron Park Zoo director Jim Fleshman.
The new exhibit will be unveiled in the freshwater aquarium Monday at 2:00 p.m.

so does this mean that Cameron Park is going to get the water issues in the exhibits cleaned up? The last time I was there (this spring) the bear exhibit was ghastly. Green water and buzzards every where. You could hardly see the otters. Absolutely terrible quality of water for these animals. If they have the funds to add kiosks and such, they should take care of the other exhibits first.
