HILL COUNTY (July 26, 2009)--A Hill County man was in custody Sunday after a nearly two-hour standoff with authorities.
A Hill County Sheriff's Office dispatcher said deputies were dispatched at around 11 a.m. Sunday to a home on Hill County Road 4240 near Interstate 35 in response to a report of family violence.
When deputies arrived at the home, the dispatcher said, the man refused to come out.
Hillsboro and Itasca police and the Department of Public Safety were call in to help.
"It was more of a barricaded person, not a standoff, it was simpler then that." said the dispatcher.
The dispatcher says the man was arrested without incident at around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
The man is in the Hill County Jail where he faces an aggravated assault/family violence charge.
The dispatcher deferred all other comment to the Sheriff, who was unavailable for comment Sunday afternoon.

Good God, Rhonda. You should be on your knees praying right now that the shotgun didn't fire. Whoa. Time for a reality check.
