WACO (July 27, 2009)—A 16-month-old girl was taken to a Waco hospital Monday evening after suffering head and facial injuries in a dog attack.

The dog was originally described as a pit bull, but McLennan County Sheriff Larry Lynch said Tuesday it was some kid of terrier, but declined to provide further details.

He also wouldn’t provide information about the girl who was injured in the attack at around 5:30 p.m. Monday at a residence in the 3900 block of Old McGregor-Crawford Road north of McGregor.

A paramedic who lived nearby and was among the first to respond said the girl’s nose was damaged in the attack.

I feel ashamed for several of you after reading most of the postings. Many of you show poor judgement and one-sided thinking (or none). All should say prayers for the child and family.

This is all crazy! I too can't belive that kwtx is letting this continue. Take it to myspace or facebook! Admist all this bashing, the real concern is lost- the child.
