GATESVILLE (July 28, 2008)—James Pat Wheat, 60, of Gatesville, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child in connection with an incident involving a 4-year-old girl whom his wife was babysitting.

Gatesville police arrested Wheat on Monday.

He was later released after posting $35,000 bond.

According to the affidavit submitted for the arrest warrant, the girl told her mother that she had been kissed and fondled and then told not to tell anyone what had happened.

The results of a medical examination were consistent with what the girl told her mother, the affidavit said.

The affidavit said the sexual assault happened either last Wednesday or Thursday at Wheat’s residence in Gatesville.

Proverbs 26:11 As a dog returns to it vomit, so a fool repeats his folly. Proverbs 26:24-26 A malicious man disquises himself with his lips, but in his heart he harbors deceit. Though his speech is charming, do not believe him, for seven abominations fill his heart. His malice may be concealed by deception, but his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. God will judge Mr. Wheat with the harshest wrath and will punish him sevenfold. I would not want to be around for that day of judgement. Proverbs 28:4 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist them. AMEN
