(January 17, 2007)--Icy weather Wednesday forced postponement of closing arguments in the civil case against a suburban Houston dentist convicted of driving over her cheating husband.
Clara Harris' former in-laws filed a $5 million wrongful death suit against her.
She repeatedly invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination Tuesday in court.
Harris' attorney says he advised her to answer no questions, regardless of their subject.
That's so she would avoid damaging her chances at overturning the murder conviction.
But an attorney for Gerald and Mildred Harris says Harris was "hiding" behind the Fifth Amendment.
Clara Harris ran over her husband David Harris with her Mercedes-Benz several times in July 2002.
It happened in the parking lot of the suburban Houston hotel where she had confronted him and his mistress several minutes earlier.
She was convicted of murder in February 2003 and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
