Police say they were called out to the Dairy Queen on the 200 block of South 5th Street in Rosebud on July 27th on a reported burglary and theft.

Police say they believe the incident occurred either late Sunday night or early monday morning.

Rosebud Police Chief Jeremiah Shults says more than $4600 was missing from a safe in the business. Shults says the safe had been pried open.

The Chief says there were no signs of forced entry at the business.

Shults says the investigation remains open.

There is good & bad in ALL towns, citys, counties, etc...Please! Everyone knows that-it's just a bigger deal when things like this happen IN a small town for some reason...Ok, if people were to comment on EVERY single story that happened in say either Temple or Waco-MY GOODNESS...this website would lock down!!!! The news is for some reason stuck on Rosebud b/c I know of SEVERAL things that happened similar to this 'break in' that NEVER made the news-what about that attempt to break into the pharmacy a few months ago? What about the break in's or attempts into people's homes around here...I know that the news HAD to be notified of this b/c how else would they know-so apparently the new chief reported this-who knows...Just crazy-news is news...AND! I agree w/ Posted by: Annonymous Location: Rosebud on Aug 4, 2009 at 09:22 PM***TOTALLY calling the kettle black!!! To Anonymous from Rogers saying "more Rosebud trash", isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?
