i haven't seen anything saying Major Hassan has been to Iraq. also, two were arrested but the were both let go. the major that did the shooting did not have ptsd, he was a psychologist or psychiatrist, it isn't likely that he would have ever seen action. and Ken from Chicago, you are so far off the mark about our military it's scary. my son spent a tour in iraq. his plan from childhood was to be a soldier. one nephew has done 2 tours, another nephew, a cousin, and brother in law have all done at least one tour. all of them high school graduate with plans, to defend our country. one of them an officer. i worked 14 years for the military (army, navy, air force and marines). try stepping out of the ghetto to see what the real america is about, you may learn something.

ken i am appalled at the stereotypical nature of your comments, I have tattoos and was rebellious in school...that didnt mean that i was apt for a life as a punk thug....these soldiers should be accountable ....yes ....but they need to find GOD as well....had they been living in a way that lined up with Gods Word this would have not happened....those without sin cast the first stone....some of you should be ashamed for judging the people involved in this situation. Have you never done wrong?

Thugs are thugs. Ghetto is ghetto. It is insulting to REAL soldiers to conveniently play the tired "Oh, but they've been to Iraq for all of us" card. They are adults and they should be held accountable as adults. Be honest with yourselves and recognize that there is no long line of young college grads entering the military. Much too often, recruits represent the dregs who barely made it through school and have no genuine plans in life. The issued uniform does not cover the punk tattoos and bad attitudes of those who were otherwise destined for a life of thug street crime. This sad event therefore come as no surprise to me at all...
