Copperas Cove Man Arrested for Assaulting a Police Officer
A Thursday night party has resulted in multiple charges being filed against a Copperas Cove man

COPPERAS COVE – A fight with police officers and damage to a city police car resulted in a Copperas Cove man being arrested and charged with assault on a public servant.
A list of charges against Vinson LaPaul Favers, 30, also includes resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
Favers is being held in the Coryell County Jail under $27,000 bond.
Officers say Favers became involved in a physical confrontation with officers who were sent to a party that got out of hand.
After Favers was placed in a squad car, officers say he attempted to kick out the car’s rear window.
The incident happened at a house on Urbantke Dr., where several people had gathered for a party.
Officers say when they arrived they found partygoers intoxicated and Favers was beligerant.
Favers displayed extreme violence as officers attempted to take him into custody and was punching and kicking officers.
After he was placed in a patrol car Favers allegedly attempted to kick out the rear window.
