(August 7, 2009) - Waco police say one man was arrested and two others detained after a foot chase Friday afternoon.

A police officer pulled over a white Cadillac at Kendrick Park off of Speight Avenue at about 4 p.m.

One person jumped out of the vehicle, though, and ran off. The man was later caught off of New Road by police. Officers at the scene say they plan to charge him with evading arrest.

A teenage girl was also in the car. Police found she was a reported runaway from Beverly Hills. The teenage girl was taken into Beverly Hills police custody.

An 18-year-old teenager was also questioned at the scene but later released and issued a citation.

Waco police say traces of marijuana were found in the suspect car.
