WACO (August 11, 2009)--One woman was injured Tuesday after a driver who was stopped for a traffic violation on Interstate 35 in Waco pulled back onto the highway and into the path of an oncoming SUV, which struck the driver’s car.

It happened just before 12:15 p.m. Tuesday on the northbound interstate just north of the Brazos River.

A 50-year-old woman who was in the SUV was taken to a local hospital.

Information about the nature and severity of her injuries wasn’t immediately available.

The driver of the car that was pulled over for the traffic violation wasn’t injured.

The northbound lanes of the highway were closed and traffic was diverted to the access road until the wreckage was cleared.

To The Next Big Thing- You may not have gone to WISD, however you must have missed English class at whatever school you did attend. The "NORMAL" person read your comment correctly. You obviously did not write it out correctly... Perhaps you can try again next time...

Actually people my comments mean that I don't like suvs. I did not lay fault to anybody. I think a normal person would get the impression from my comments that I am saying suvs may give a person a false sense of sercurity. Nowhere do I say this lady was at fault. Maybe some people here learned their reading comprehension in WISD. Sorry I don't speak WISD.

There is a Law in force that states when a DPS Trooper has anyone pulled over, then you have to slow down to 20 miles slower than the posted speed limit, and move over into the left lane. So yes the person that pulled out into the traffic should have received another ticket for failure to yield right of way, and the person that hit it should have also received a ticket for not following the law by slowing down and moving over into the left lane! Otherwise still just a bunch of moron/idiots speeding on I35!!!!!
