FORT WAYNE, Ind. (August 12, 2009)--An 18-year-old who lost her unborn child when her car collided with the tour bus of Christian rockers MercyMe has died from her injuries, police said.

Fort Wayne police said Kara Klinker, who had been in critical condition since the crash early Saturday, died Tuesday.

Two passengers in her car, Dario Boutte, 19, and Barbara Schmucker, 17, died of injuries at the scene of the crash.

Klinker was 35 weeks pregnant.

Dallas-based MercyMe canceled a show in Eureka, Mo., on Saturday but resumed its tour Monday at the Wisconsin State Fair.

The band was scheduled to perform Wednesday night at the Indiana State Fair in
Indianapolis.

MercyMe issued a statement Wednesday saying the families of the victims of the crash were in the band's prayers.

“We have been in continued communication with the chaplaincy program at the Ft. Wayne Police Department, and our thoughts and prayers continue to be with everyone affected by this situation,” the band said.
