Police were alerted to the matter Friday at about 6 p.m.

Officers were told at least 11 suspects cashed checks in at least two different liquor stores, Cheers and Bottoms Up in Hillsboro sometime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m, $10,000 in one store and $13,000 in another.
