Three US Soldiers Killed, Four Others Wounded In Iraq

(February 10, 2007)--The military says three more US soldiers have been killed in Iraq.

Their deaths push the total number of American service men and women who've died in the war to at least 3,120.

A statement issued Saturday says the three Task Force Lightning soldiers died in an explosion Friday while clearing a building and looking for a weapons cache in a province northeast of Baghdad.

The area is where US and Iraqi forces have been battling both Sunni insurgents and Shiite militiamen.

Four other Americans were wounded in the incident.
