SAN MARCOS (September 10, 2009)--Four armed teens who broke into a house last week in San Marcos were trying to get marijuana when the resident fatally shot two of the 16-year-olds, police said.

A third 16-year-old was wounded in the attempted home invasion at 2 a.m. Friday.

The fourth teen, 17, told police the group planned to rob a drug dealer when a resident opened fire, according to an affidavit.

San Marcos Police Chief Howard Williams says the injured teen remains hospitalized but didn't give more information.

He said a small amount of pot was found in the house, but it was unclear if charges would be filed.

Were they trying to get pot like the police said or rob a drug dealer like the affidavit said? Teenagers, who may have been smoking,my assumption and they are wanting some pot so they rob a a house. Are you kidding me? the BS here is that the propaganda works. This was a premeditated attempted armed robbery, serious stuff but the focus is marijuana based on conjecture, innuendo and "because the police said so." come on people....think! and donna quit watching those reefer madness movies.

From a parent of two boys, raised on their own by MYSELF with NO government assistance, they are 12 and 15 STRAIGHT A GT kids, we own our HOME and LAND and are involved in FFA, sports, scouts, church and have a working farm...pot is NOTHING but a pain reliever for various kinds of illnesses, including degenerate joint disease, cancers, migraines...just to name a few. Does the fact that I smoke for medical reasons make me a bad parent???? 12 yrs of raising an infant and a 3 yr old to be the fine young men they are, the answer would be absolutely 100 percent NOT!!! I do not expose them to it, nor do they know I do this for medical reasons. Tax it, make it legal, pay off the defecit in 5 years, and PUT DRUNK DRIVERS, CHILD MOLESTERS, MURDERERS in jail for LIFE.
