WACO (September 12, 2009)—College Day, an outdoor event Saturday night in Heritage Square in downtown Waco, has been canceled because of the threat of rain.

The event, which was to have welcomed students attending Baylor University, McLennan Community College and Texas State Technical College to Waco, was to have included music, information, booths, food and other activities and was scheduled to run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.

A brief cancellation advisory issued Saturday morning by the Waco Chamber Of Commerce indicated that organizers will consider whether to reschedule the event.
