FORT WORTH (September 15, 2009)-A 15-year-old Fort Worth teenager has been returned safe after she was kidnapped at the scene of a fatal shooting.

Fort Worth police had issued an Amber Alert for Mirella Collazo.

Dallas-Fort Worth television station WFAA reported Monday night that police said a suspect was in custody for Sunday's abduction.

Police say 20-year-old Juan Mejia-Alanis was fatally shot in the head during the kidnapping.

Mejia-Alanis died Monday morning.

Collazo remained missing Monday evening even after police had located the green Ford Ranger pickup truck involved in her abduction.

It was believed that she was with her ex-boyfriend, Larry Sigala, 16, who police say was armed with a gun.

Collazo was sitting in a car at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening with Juan Mejia-Alanis, 20, when two young men walked up to the vehicle and one of them shot Mejia-Alanis in the head.

The two then forced the girl into the pickup truck and sped off.

On Monday, police said they found the Ford pickup that was used as a getaway vehicle about a mile from the missing girl's home.

Doesn't matter...you're an IDIOT!!! Having tatoos does not mean that she was sexually active! Tattoos are nothing more than an expression! I do not know this girl, therefore I cannot judge her! She may have been the next president, how would any of us know? We all make mistakes, but that doesn't mean that we do not turn into law abiding, outstanding citizens once we "grow up"! I'm glad that they found her safe! Sounds to me like, her boyfriend was the jealous type and didn't like the fact that she was sitting in a vehicle with another man.

WOW some of you people are something elese. Reguardless of the tattoos she is someone child, little girl. That does not mena she is having sex. I sure hope your children if you have any get sterotyped like this. Isn't this what we as good parents are suppose to teach are children not to do. Judge a book by it's cover. Those of you who speak upon assumptions are the reason we still haev racism to this day. It don't matter what a person look like it should be about the inner person. Come one get it together. What are you really teaching the children of our future? Grow up and act liek adults and stop acting liek frivelous children who don't know any better.. You should know better than to be so judgemental. Do you stop to think what this young girl is going thru mentally. She seen a man shoot to death in the head right next to her, and then was taken.. Comeon now.. My heart goes out to this little girl and her family. She need all the moral support she can get right now.
