CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 14, 2009)--A pregnant 15-year-old was shot to death Monday morning as she waited at a school bus stop in Charlotte, N.C., police said.
Police spokesman Rob Tufano says Tiffany Wright was shot in the head and died at a hospital.
She was 32 weeks pregnant and her baby was delivered alive, but was not expected to survive.
Tufano said investigators were still trying to determine whether the shooting was random.
He said a relative who went home after walking Wright to the bus stop heard gunshots and came out to find the teenager in the street.
The girl attended Hawthorne High School, an alternative school with a special program for pregnant teens.

Wow, RIP. 15 years old, 32 weeks pregnant. Any guesses as to the 30 year old man that has been arrested being the baby's father too? We should be equally outraged as to her being pregnant as we are about her terrible death, and that poor baby fighting for her life right now what will become of her if she survives?.......
SW...We have enough bad attitude out in the world already. Can't say anything nice...don't comment. A 15 yr old child is dead and ur worried about what??? Pathetic...
you know this is a very sad story. what is our world comming to that a child cant go to the bus stop to go to school with out the fear of dying? i agree with one of the other comments that i read, bring him to texas and let him experience our way of justice, other states may have the death penality but we are putting in an express lane for those that deserve to die for the crimes that they have commited. my thoughts and prayers go to this childs family and newborn baby. i cant imagine the thought of loosing a child.
