Mother Charged After Texas Toddlers Left Alone
A 24-year-old Texas woman whose toddlers were left to wander in a parking lot overnight has been charged with child abandonment.

SAN ANTONIO (September 18, 2009)--A 24-year-old Texas woman faces child abandonment charges after neighbors found her two toddlers wandering in a parking lot and screaming for their mother overnight.
Jantel Thomas was arrested early Thursday and was charged with two counts of child abandonment after residents of a San Antonio apartment complex found her two daughters alone around 2:40 a.m. Thursday.
The two girls, an 18-month-old and 4-year-old, were taken to a children's shelter after the woman returned home.
Thomas told San Antonio police she left to take care of a family emergency.
Police say the woman was gone nearly two hours.
A jail spokesman said Thomas was released Thursday on bonds totaling $10,000.

she can afford to bail her self out of jail but yet didnt bother getting a babysitter,i mean come on, what is wrong with this world. i have 2 kids and i make sure i know where they arre at ALL times.

I agree 100% that she needs her kids takin away til they are old enough to make the big choice for them self. I also know that what she did is not teaching the babies good parenting at all. NO matter where i go i take my kids with me or i lwave them with a family member til i get back from doing what i need to do. Like providing for them.

Please tell me that we are not going to have to provide this peice of trash with a lawyer so that she can try to beat this charge with that flimsy excuse!!!Take her kids and place them in a good family household and lock her stupid tail up for 2-20!
