CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 21, 2009)--A newborn delivered after her teenage mother was shot to death while waiting at a school bus stop in North Carolina has died.

Multiple media outlets reported that Charlotte, N.C. police said the newborn daughter of Tiffany Wright, 15, died early Sunday.

Wright was 32 weeks pregnant when she was gunned down before dawn on Sept. 14 as she waited for a school bus.

Doctors delivered Wright's baby, but the newborn was in critical condition at Carolinas Medical Center from the start.

No one has been charged in the deadly shooting.

Wright's adoptive brother, Royce Mitchell of Charlotte, 36, has been charged with statutory rape and indecent liberties with a child.

Police said Wright was the victim of those crimes.

Mitchell is scheduled to appear Friday for a bond hearing.

Poor babies. I hope they find out who did this and not just sweep it under the rug like the ALWAYS do here in TEXAS. "Here...throw this dude in jail...he looks like he did it...let him take the heat...as long as it looks like we did anything other than pick our poochs all day long". >rolls eyes<

I have to wonder, who all know this was happening to this girl? Now the girls (mother and baby) has peace.

Bless her heart, that's probably why she was gunned down. If he was involved, hope he fries.
