HUNTSVILLE (September 22, 2009)--Texas executed a convicted hit man Tuesday evening who was sentenced to die for a triple slaying in Houston nearly 14 years ago.
Christopher Coleman was put to death for his part in a scheme concocted by a Colombian man who hoped to eliminate a drug debt by staging a robbery.
Four people were shot in a car on a dead-end Houston street and three of them died, including a 3-year-old boy.
Asked by the warden for a final statement from the death chamber gurney, Coleman, 37, said, "Ain't no way, fo fo. I love y'all."
It wasn't what "fo fo" meant, although in urban slang it can refer to a .44-caliber pistol or distinctive car rims made in 1984 and evidently popular in Houston.
No relatives of the victims chose to attend the punishment, and Coleman selected no personal witnesses to watch him die.
Coleman was pronounced dead at 6:22 p.m., eight minutes after lethal drugs began flowing.
Tuesday afternoon, Coleman's lawyers lost appeals to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans and then to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles rejected a clemency request for Coleman, one of three men convicted in the case.
The other two, Enrique Andrade Mosquera and Derrick Graham, received life in prison.
Coleman’s execution is one of two scheduled this week in Texas.

I have to admit that I like his little hat. It's adorable!!
$50,000 a year for 14 years equals $700,000. It only costs $85.00 to Lethal-Inject. Move on to the next one!!!
Lived his life like a low life hood and died the same way. Stone cold waste of oxygen.
