HAMILTON (September 23, 2009)—Former Hamilton High School special education aide Marilyn Price has been charged with indecency with a child and improper relationship between educator and student after an investigation of allegations of an improper relationship with a high school freshman.
Price turned herself in last week to authorities in Hamilton.
According to the sheriff's office, Price turned herself in on Sept. 17 and was released after posting $10,000 bond.
She resigned late last week after working for the district since August 2007.
Hamilton ISD Superintendent Dr. Sid Pruitt said, "I really do not have a comment."
Hamilton ISD School Board President Herman Lanmon, Jr. said earlier that the male freshman student made the allegation against the aide on Aug. 31.
Lanmon says the district immediately notified the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Price was suspended with pay, pending the results of the investigation of the alleged incident at a private residence in Hamilton.

Where were teachers like this when I was growing up? I wonder if she tutors adults?
I'm not shocked at all. This is a good start to clean up this school's act. There is no excuse for this, not even in a small town. I've experienced first hand the lack of respect several HISD employees who are leaders in this small community exhibit. It's an embarrassment to this state and to the good citizens. Wake up Hamilton, and realize the differences between RIGHT and WRONG!!!
Sounds like nunyabidness needs a refresher course on the dealings with this lady. I REFUSE to have compassion for a person like her! I pray for her children, her parents, the children she has hurt, and all the other people she has traumatized with her craziness!!! I can't say whether she's guilty of this crime, but she has abused and mistreated other people in the past so I wouldn't be surprised. She's like a tornado. I've seen her touch down many times and had to help pick up the pieces, so I feel for those who will be cleaning up her messes with this round.
