KILLEEN (September 24, 2009)--Patsy Ann Dunem, 30, of Killeen, turned herself in to Killeen police Thursday after a warrant charging theft over $1,500, but under $20,000 was issued in connection with the theft of more than $9,000 from the Robert M. Shoemaker High School Athletic Boosters Association.
The warrant was issued on Tuesday.
The theft investigation started in January after booster club members weren’t able to get a balance in the association’s account, police said.
The association completed an audit, but when members asked the club treasurer for financial reports, she didn’t produce them, police said.
Members also discovered that the balance didn’t match the actual amount in the club’s account, police said.
After an internal investigation, the association filed a report with Killeen police.
Detectives determined that the treasurer was the only person who had access to the account and was the only person responsible for the missing money, police said.
Dunem was released Thursday after posting $20,000 bond.

and now it's out there. again. as it was a few weeks ago when the story broke. only this time there has been an arrest. and no i'm not happy, i'm disgusted, but glad she will be brought to justice and held accountable for stealing from kids. and my friends can't get in trouble, it's not illegal to talk about things that are going on in the news, it's public knowledge.
i remember when i bought candy bars from her. she said it was part of the booster club fundraising, i bet you anything she had went to the PX to buy them for a quarter to sale them to kids and schools for a dollar to put in her own pocket. thief! it wasn't a part of the booster club.
AK they aren't done investigating yet so why put the info out there. Your friends who work there could get in trouble for leaking this type of info out. It could hurt their case. The people responsible could get rid of important documents.I agree the people responsible for theft should be held accountable. But Let KPD do the press release.
