(March 2, 2007)--On the 171st anniversary of Texas independence, 2 groups of protesters with similar complaints marched on the Capitol Friday.
One group is opposed to the way the State of Texas is considering running the statewide networks of toll roads, including the proposed Trans-Texas Corridor.
The other group, with their horses, cattle, emus marched down Congress Avenue to protest both the corridor project and the National Animal Identification System.
The protesters say the corridor would be the largest land-grab and eminent domain project in the history of the US and claim the national animal ID system will impact every person who owns even one horse, chicken, goat, sheep, pig, or cow.
