McGREGOR (October 8, 2009)--Following a series of successful tests both late last week and early this week, McGregor-based SpaceX now plans to test fire its nine-engine cluster configuration for the Falcon 9 rocket on Friday.

The test was originally scheduled for Thursday, but a problem encountered Wednesday night necessitated the delay.

The 10-second test is scheduled sometime between noon and 8:30 p.m. Friday.

A second test, which would occur in the days that follow, would last thirty seconds.

The company advises residents near the test facility to be prepared for loud noise during these tests.
