Local Firefighters Take Applications For Free Smoke Alarms Saturday
Firefighters throughout Bell County will take applications Saturday at several locations for smoke alarms that will be installed at no charge.

BELL COUNTY (October 10, 2009)—Temple and Bell County firefighters will take applications from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at several locations for smoke alarms that will be installed at no charge.
It’s the seventh year of smoke alarm distribution through Project Safe Home, which the Bell County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Bell County Fire Chief’s Association sponsor jointly.
Participating fire departments include Bartlett, Belton, Harker Heights, Holland, Killeen, Little River, Morgan's Point, Moffat, Nolanville, Rogers, Salado, Southwest Bell, Sparta Valley, Stillhouse, Temple and Troy.
Applications will be taken at Home Depot, Lowe’s and Wal-Mart in Temple; McCoy’s and Wal-Mart in Belton; Wal-Mart in Harker Heights, and Home Depot, Lowe’s and Wal-Mart in Killeen.
