KILLEEN (October 11, 2009)—Killeen police are looking for a man who threw a rock through the window of the Super Quik Mart store at 1511 S. Fort Hood St. and stole a jar that contained money donated to a cancer fund.

The thief struck just before 3 a.m. on Monday Oct. 5, police said.

A surveillance video showed a black man who was wearing a white shirt, black shorts and a straw cowboy hat throw a large rock through the store’s glass door.

He grabbed the cash jar, and then drove off in a white Ford F-150 pickup truck, police said.

Investigators think the thief is the same man who entered the store shortly before closing time the night before and purchased a glass pen.

They’re asking anyone with information to contact Killeen police at (254) 501-8800 or Killeen Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477.

I wish I could say I am surprised, but I am not. My father died September 2 from cancer. I am the Team Captain of my Relay for Life Team. This makes me angry after all tht I have done for ACS and that my father died of cancer. To know all the things my dad did (go to www.oakcrestwaco.com to see his obit, Melvin Rodgers) and then this person does this. You are right, God will punish him.
